US Direct Air Capture Projects Struggle as Chevron Exits California Project

Chevron's exit from a direct air capture project in Kern, California has added to the woes of US companies involved in this technology.

The company told Energy Intelligence that it withdrew from the federally funded project more than a year ago, months before the Department of Energy identified the award to Congress as one it intended to keep alive.
