US Open Prize Money Hits Record High of $108 Million

The US Open prize money has reached a record high of $108 million, with winners of the men's and women's singles events set to receive $5.5 million each.

This represents a 10% increase from last year and is the largest sum ever paid to a singles champion at a Grand Slam tournament.

The USTA Chief Executive Officer Craig Tiley explained that the increase in payouts is intended to ensure players receive a fair share of the tournament's revenue, following demands from leading tennis players including Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka for increased prize money.

In addition to prize money, players will also receive $2,500 Uber vouchers and an American Express card with $1,000 in credit.
