The US Department of State has revoked over 175,000 visas issued to foreign nationals under President Donald Trump's administration. The cancellations were made due to various reasons including criminal offenses, breaches of visa conditions, and national security concerns.

Most of the revocations followed 'law enforcement encounters involving criminal activity', with assault, driving under the influence, theft, and drug-related offenses among the leading causes. Other cases included reckless driving, sexual assault, child abuse, fraud, embezzlement, and other crimes.

The State Department highlighted several serious cases including felony rape and sexual battery, kidnapping, human trafficking, and domestic violence. In one case, a foreign national was accused of running a legitimate healthcare-access business but was allegedly involved in a Medicaid fraud scheme involving over $5 million in fraudulent claims.
