US Stock Futures Rise on Strong Earnings Amid Geopolitical Uncertainty
U.S. stock futures continued their upward trend overnight as strong corporate earnings lifted investor sentiment. The Nasdaq-100, Dow, and S&P 500 futures all rose by around 0.1-0.2% at 9:35 PM EDT.
The rally was driven in part by standout performances from top American companies, including Palantir Technologies (PLTR), which reported a 93% surge in revenues due to growing corporate demand for its AI tools and services. Shares of the company surged nearly 14% higher overnight following the results.
Amazon.com's shares also reached a record high, becoming the fifth company to join the $3 trillion club. Other notable names that posted quarterly results on Monday included Snap Inc. (SNAP), Trump Media & Technology Group Corp., and ON Semiconductor Corp.
The geopolitical landscape remained uncertain, with Iran denying reports of negotiations with the U.S. Instead, the country stated it was in talks with Oman to reach an understanding on a temporary commercial shipping arrangement through the Strait of Hormuz. Global oil prices climbed higher at the time of writing.
