US Stock Futures Rise on Strong Earnings and Iran Hopes
US stock futures rose on Wednesday morning, boosted by strong corporate earnings reports and hopes for a deal that could ease tensions in Iran.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures increased by 0.3%, while S&P 500 futures added 0.4%. Nasdaq futures gained 0.2%.
The Walt Disney Co. reported a $1 billion box office haul from 'Toy Story 5' and strong results at its US theme parks, driving up profits in the quarter ended June. The stock gained 3.4% in premarket trading.
However, shares of SpaceX shed over 10% after the company's first quarterly report as a public entity showed a smaller loss than expected but also a surge in capital expenditures reaching nearly $16 billion towards AI research and development.
