The US stock market futures have surged overnight ahead of Monday's trading session. The Nasdaq Composite futures jumped by 220 points or 0.82% to around 28,636 on Sunday. Similarly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index Futures gained by 241 points or 0.46% to trade at 52,875. The S&P 500 index upped by 37.25 points or 0.50% to trade at 7,557.75.

The US Treasury yield of the 10-year benchmark has eased to 4.70%. Oil prices have declined sharply after President Donald Trump signaled a return to peace talks with Iran, which could bode well for US stocks. Crude oil futures plunged by over 5.3% to trade at $80.15 per barrel, while Brent Crude crashed nearly 5% to around $84 per barrel.

A host of large-cap companies including Berkshire Hathaway, Eli Lilly, Caterpillar, McDonald's, and Walt Disney are set to release their quarterly earnings reports this week. The results will provide crucial insights into the strength of the economy and serve as new catalysts for the artificial intelligence trade.
