US Stocks Bounce Back Amid Caution
US stocks rose on Friday after a day of heavy losses, but investors remained cautious due to rising government bond yields and geopolitical uncertainty.
The S&P 500 and Nasdaq were set to break their three-week winning streak, while the Dow was poised for its second weekly loss in a row and its biggest decline since mid-March.
Financial companies led the gains, with JPMorgan Chase up 1.2%, Goldman Sachs climbing 2.3%, and the S&P 500 Banks index rising 1.1%.
Retailer Ross Stores surged 4.2% after beating earnings expectations and raising its full-year profit forecast.
However, technology stocks were heading for a weaker weekly performance than other sectors due to higher Treasury yields.
