US Stocks End Lower on Friday with Dow Down 0.02%
The US stock market closed lower on Friday, August 28th, as losses in key sectors like Industrials and Technology led shares down.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.02%, while the S&P 500 index declined 0.25%, and the NASDAQ Composite index dropped 0.52%.
Among the best performers on the Dow, Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) rose 3.97% to $266.43, followed by Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE) at 3.02% to $39.60 and McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) with a gain of 1.90% to $265.00.
On the other hand, NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) was down 4.58%, while 3M Company (NYSE:MMM) declined 2.51% and Caterpillar Inc (NYSE:CAT) dropped 2.05%.
