US Stocks Fall as Key Sectors Decline on Monday
US stock markets closed lower on Monday following losses in key sectors.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.11%, while the S&P 500 index declined by 0.06% and the NASDAQ Composite lost 0.32%, according to Investing.com.
Among the top performers on the Dow Jones, Chevron Corp rose 4.48% to 194.91, followed by Salesforce Inc at 197.48 after a gain of 2.46%, and Merck & Company Inc up 1.82% to 130.92.
The worst performers included NVIDIA Corporation, down 2.85% to 217.58, Travelers Companies which declined 2.26% to 375.62, and Sherwin-Williams Co down 1.90% to 362.71.
