US Stocks Rally on Tech Sector Gains

The US stock market closed higher on Thursday, driven by gains in key sectors such as Technology, Consumer Goods, and Oil & Gas.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.20%, while the S&P 500 index climbed 0.72% and the NASDAQ Composite jumped 1.57%.

Salesforce Inc led the pack among the top gainers on the Dow, surging 22.58% to $252.05. NVIDIA Corporation added 8.74% to end at $227.98, while International Business Machines rose 3.88% to $238.79.

The biggest losers were McDonald's Corporation, down 2.57%, and Walt Disney Company, which also lost 2.57%. Merck & Company Inc shed 2.33% of its value.
