US Stocks Rise as Mideast Tensions Ease
The US stock market began the week on a positive note as investors became more optimistic about Middle Eastern tensions easing.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 274 points, or 0.52%, to reach 52,759.06 at the opening bell.
This gain was driven in part by a decrease in crude oil prices due to reduced tensions in the region.
Amazon.com also performed well, increasing by 3.8% and hitting $3 trillion in market value for the first time.
