US Stocks Rise as Nvidia Earnings and Chip Sector Boost Markets
The US stock markets opened higher on Tuesday, led by the Nasdaq Composite's 0.88% gain to 26,208.96. The rebound in semiconductor stocks was driven by easing Treasury yields and a sharp pullback in crude oil prices.
Nvidia's highly anticipated quarterly results due Wednesday after the closing bell fueled pre-earnings positioning. Despite this, the Dow Jones Industrial Average remained flat at 53,428.50.
The S&P 500 added 28.14 points to 7,681.00, with eight of its eleven primary sectors trading in positive territory. Information Technology was the best-performing sector, rebounding from Monday's 1.59% decline.
