US Stocks See Mixed Trading Amid Corporate Earnings Reports
US stocks traded in mixed fashion on Thursday as more corporate earnings reports rolled in. The S&P 500 dipped by 0.1% and is hovering below its record set just two days prior.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 404 points, or 0.7%, while the Nasdaq composite remained mostly unchanged. Several companies from various sectors reported their quarterly results, contributing to an already packed earnings season.
Warner Bros. Discovery rose by 1.7% after surpassing investor expectations with its earnings report. Molson Coors also increased by 1.5% following encouraging financial results.
However, not all companies fared well. Honeywell Aerospace plummeted by 21.2% due to disappointing quarterly results. AppLovin dropped by 18.4% after reporting mixed financial outcomes for its latest quarter.
