UTSA's Lisa Campos Named Sandy Barbour Nike DI FBS Athletic Director of the Year

UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos has been named the Sandy Barbour Nike DI FBS Athletic Director of the Year by Women Leaders in Sports. This is the second time this year that Campos has received the honor, following her recognition as National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Athletics Director of the Year in March.

Campos was selected for the award by the Women Leaders Awards Committee and Board of Directors, which also honored other notable women in sports. The UTSA Athletics leader has made a significant impact on her department, leading the Roadrunners into the American Conference in 2023 and overseeing numerous successes in recent years.

Under Campos' direction, UTSA's sports programs have achieved impressive records, including over 40 All-Americans, nearly 300 all-conference selections, and 11 team conference championships. The department has also made strides in academics, recording an NCAA Division I Graduation Success Rate of better than 80% each year of Campos' tenure.
