Uzbekistan Airways Installs Central Asia's First Level D Simulator

Uzbekistan Airways is expanding its training capabilities with the installation of Central Asia's first Level D full-flight simulator (FFS) for the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at its Training Center in Tashkent. The airline has been operating Boeing 787 aircraft for a decade, receiving its first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in September 2016 and signing a contract in 2025 for the supply of 22 wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

The Level D full-flight simulator is manufactured by Canadian company CAE Inc. and will achieve Level D certification, the highest standard for flight simulators. This device precisely replicates the flight deck, aircraft systems, and flight characteristics, enabling a full pilot training cycle to be conducted directly in Uzbekistan.

According to Uzbekistan Airways, the acquisition of the simulator is provided under a contract between the airline and Boeing for the delivery of 22 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The launch of the simulator will make flight crew preparation more autonomous and reduce the need to send pilots to foreign training centers.
