A Phoenix area resident has been indicted on 17 felony counts of retail theft after allegedly stealing over $6,000 worth of power tools and hardware from Lowe's and Home Depot stores across the Valley.

According to Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, Luis Adrian Valle-Martinez stole from 17 different stores between September 2025 and July 2026.

Prosecutors claim Valle-Martinez used self-checkout lanes to pay for low-cost items before leaving with higher-value merchandise he had not paid for. Surveillance video allegedly caught him in the act.
