ValueJet Takes Delivery of First Boeing 737NG Aircraft
Nigerian carrier ValueJet has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737NG aircraft, marking a significant milestone in its fleet expansion plans. The aircraft, registration number 5N-CFZ, will enter commercial service in September and is the first of three 737NGs that will join the airline's fleet over the coming months.
The arrival of the 737NG signals a new phase for ValueJet, which has been expanding its network across Nigeria and West Africa since commencing operations. The aircraft offers greater range and increased cargo capacity, giving the airline more flexibility to serve high-demand routes and support future expansion.
ValueJet Managing Director Omololu Majekodunmi described the arrival of the 737NG as 'an important milestone' for the airline, emphasizing its commitment to building a safe, reliable, and customer-focused carrier. The transition to Boeing aircraft is being supported by continued investment in manpower development and technical capability.
