Nigerian carrier ValueJet has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737NG aircraft, marking the start of a planned fleet expansion that will see three new planes join the airline over the coming months.

The arrival of the larger aircraft, registration number 5N-CFZ, is an important milestone for ValueJet as it begins to phase out its CRJ regional jets after four years of operation.

The Boeing 737NG offers significantly more seats, greater range and increased cargo capacity than the CRJ, allowing ValueJet to deploy more seats on busy domestic routes such as Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
