Vancouver Prepares for Labour Day Weekend with Modified Hours

Vancouver is gearing up for its last long weekend of summer, and residents are planning ahead to make the most of Labour Day on Monday, September 7, 2026. The weather is expected to be warm and sunny, making it the perfect opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the city. For those looking to visit popular attractions, here are some key details to keep in mind:

Vancouver Aquarium will have tickets available between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., while pharmacies will operate on modified hours. Home Depot will also be open with adjusted hours.

TransLink bus, SkyTrain, and Seabus services will run on a Sunday/holiday schedule, and many grocery stores, including Safeway, Superstore, Shoppers, Canadian Tire, Walmart, Whole Foods, Save-On-Foods, London Drugs, and Costco, will be open with varying hours.

Some BC Liquor Stores locations are closed on Labour Day, but others will operate from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Vancouver Art Gallery, VanDusen Botanical Garden, Bloedel Conservatory, Science World, Pacific Centre, Metrotown, Park Royal, Richmond Centre, and Tsawwassen Mills shopping malls will also be open with varying hours.
