Vanguard's $80 Billion All-World ETF Sees Record Inflows Amid Tech-Fueled Rally
Vanguard's $80 billion All-World ETF has seen massive inflows since January, absorbing over $16 billion in net new money and pushing its assets to a record high of roughly $80 billion by the end of July.
The fund's tracking error is measured in single-digit basis points, with a beta pinned at exactly 1.00. This combination of precision and scale has helped cement the fund's position as the fastest-growing globally-investing ETF among European investors.
With 3,782 individual holdings, the fund offers extreme diversification on paper. However, a closer look reveals that it is heavily concentrated in large US technology names, with Nvidia leading the weighting at 4.5 percent of net assets, followed by Apple at 4.3 percent and Alphabet at 3.6 percent.
As a result, investors buying global equity exposure through this vehicle are essentially betting on these largest tech stocks. This structural reality has worked in favor of the fund during the current rally, with its tech-heavy composition amplifying gains across developed and emerging markets alike.
