Venmo Joins Google Play Payment Options
Google has expanded its payment options on Google Play by integrating Venmo as a payment method. Starting Monday, August 10, users can update their payment methods in the Google Play Store and link their Venmo account to make purchases.
This integration allows users to pay for apps, games, in-app purchases, and subscriptions using their Venmo balance, linked bank account, credit or debit card. The move aims to make the Google Play store more accessible and user-centric.
Alexis Sowa, general manager of Venmo, said that this integration is 'another step in making Venmo part of more of the everyday moments where people spend and connect.'
