Venmo Joins Google Play's Expanding Payment Options
Google Play has expanded its payment options in the US by adding Venmo as a new method to pay for apps, games, subscriptions, and in-app purchases. Users can now link their Venmo account to their Google Play account, allowing them to make payments using their Venmo balance or linked cards and bank accounts.
To set up Venmo as a payment method, users must go to the Payment methods section in the Google Play Store app and follow the prompts to link their Venmo account. This marks another step by Google to diversify its payment options, following the addition of PayPal and Cash App.
