Venmo Now Integrated with Google Play for App Purchases
Google has expanded its payment options on Google Play by allowing users to link their Venmo accounts. This new feature enables users to pay for apps and in-app purchases using either their Venmo balance or cards linked to their Venmo account.
The integration of Venmo with Google Play was announced in a blog post, making it the third-party payment option available on the platform, joining Cash App Pay and PayPal. This move allows Venmo users to spend accumulated balances without sharing their payment information directly with Google.
Users can link their Venmo account by opening the Play Store app, tapping their profile picture in the top right corner, then selecting 'Payments & subscriptions' followed by 'Payment methods.' From there, they should see an option to add Venmo.
