Verizon Expands 6G Innovation Forum with Nine New Members
Verizon has expanded its 6G Innovation Forum by adding nine new members to accelerate the development of AI-native 6G architectures and use cases.
The enlarged forum includes industry heavyweights such as Amazon Web Services, Cisco, Intel, MediaTek, NVIDIA, Palo Alto Networks, and Qualcomm Technologies, among others.
The Verizon 6G Innovation Forum aims to advance 6G through trials of new spectrum bands, bandwidths, and applications aligned with global standards bodies like the 3GPP.
Verizon highlighted recent successful field trials with founding members Samsung and Qualcomm targeting Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) use cases.
The trials demonstrated the network's ability to track crowd density and detect airborne targets, showcasing 6G's potential for real-world applications such as public safety and environmental awareness.
