Verizon Taps Google Cloud to Accelerate Enterprise AI
Google Cloud and Verizon have announced a strategic partnership aimed at scaling enterprise AI across various business units. As part of this collaboration, Verizon will deploy Google Cloud's full-stack AI, including its data infrastructure and Gemini Enterprise, to modernize customer experiences and unify enterprise data.
The partnership builds on Verizon's existing multi-year consolidation of legacy data lakes into Google's Agentic Data Cloud. This laid the groundwork for the current AI acceleration by breaking down organizational data silos, reducing operational overhead, and establishing a single source of truth across business processes.
According to Karthik Narain, Chief Product and Business Officer at Google Cloud, Verizon is pioneering what a true, full-scale AI transformation looks like for a global enterprise. By integrating Google Cloud's full AI stack into its business, they are reshaping the future of telecommunications and building an autonomous network for millions of customers.
Verizon will use Gemini Enterprise for agent orchestration and employee productivity across its core business functions. The company is also using Google Cloud's data and AI solutions to modernize its marketing platforms, automating content creation and campaign orchestration to drive customer engagement, sales, and retention.
