Veteran and IBM Technician Frank Juranic Passes Away at 79
Francis 'Frank' Peter Juranic, a veteran and IBM technician, passed away on August 25, 2026. He was born on October 17, 1946, in Rhinebeck.
Frank grew up in Red Hook and graduated from Red Hook High School. He served as a missile systems specialist in the U.S. Air Force from 1964-68 in Okinawa, Japan, and later worked as a technician at IBM.
He is survived by his spouse Kathy, daughter Michelle (Amanda), son Danny (Anna), granddaughter Cayla, and brothers John (Kathleen) and Brian (Shari). A celebration of life will be held on October 17, 2026, with more details to come. Memorial donations can be made to the Edgewater Animal Shelter.
