Veteran Marty Kane Dies at 79; Family, Friends Mourn Loss

Marty Kane, an 79-year-old veteran and devoted family man from Lake Delton, WI, passed away on August 3, 2026. He spent his final hours surrounded by his loving wife Gloria and two daughters in their home.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells, WI, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Kane had a storied life, serving four years in the United States Navy, where he was part of the USS Kitty Hawk crew. After his service, he became a skilled tradesman and worked as a meat cutter, business owner, US Postal Service Mail Carrier for 20 years, and a plumbing sales specialist at Home Depot in Wisconsin Dells for the last 15 years.
