Videotex Secures Google ODM Certification, Eyes ₹800 Crore Revenue

Videotex, an Indian original design manufacturer of televisions and display products, has received Google's ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) certification to build and supply Google TV-powered smart TVs.

The company expects this approval to significantly expand its business, reaching ₹800 crore in revenue over the next 2-3 years. Videotex currently produces 2.2 million TV units annually and is already working with several leading brands in the space.

The Google TV certification will enable Indian and regional television brands to source smart TVs from a local manufacturing partner, reducing their dependence on Chinese suppliers and strengthening India's position as a sourcing and manufacturing base for televisions.
