A Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787 was involved in a terrifying incident at Munich Airport on August 15. The aircraft, carrying 287 people, lost speed twice during takeoff.

The pilots had to make an emergency rotation with just around 300 feet of runway left, and the plane's tail struck the runway upon lifting off.

The investigation is still ongoing, but preliminary findings suggest that the aircraft may have experienced a braking problem. Long tire marks were found near the end of the runway, but officials have not confirmed whether the brakes malfunctioned.
