Vietnam Airlines Flight Drama at Munich Airport
A Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft experienced a dramatic take-off at Munich airport on Saturday afternoon, sparking a two-hour drama.
The plane overshot the runway, clipping its tail on the tarmac before circling the area for 90 minutes to dump fuel. Eventually, it landed safely, but not without bursting its tyres.
The incident led to the closure of one of Munich Airport's runways and rerouted air traffic.
Vietnam Airlines attributed the flight's return to a 'technical issue', stating that the pilots had followed all required procedures.
