Vietnam Airlines Flight Returns to Munich After Overshooting Runway
A Vietnam Airlines flight heading to Hanoi was forced to return to Munich airport after experiencing technical difficulties during take-off on Saturday.
The Boeing 787 aircraft overran the runway, prompting it to circle for more than two hours to burn fuel before landing safely back in Munich.
According to data from Flightradar24, the plane's excessive speed and distance traveled after departure indicated a technical issue.
Vietnam Airlines confirmed that the flight returned due to a 'technical issue', but did not provide further details.
