Vietnam Airlines Flight Returns to Munich After Takeoff Incident

A Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787 aircraft experienced technical difficulties during takeoff from Munich Airport on Saturday. The plane was headed to Hanoi when it encountered issues, forcing it to circle for over two hours to burn fuel.

According to flight-tracking website Flightradar24, the plane reportedly overran the runway during takeoff, leaving a large cloud of dust behind.

After landing safely at Munich Airport, the plane was unable to taxi off the north runway under its own power and remained stranded, prompting the closure of the north runway and rerouting of air traffic via the south runway.

Vietnam Airlines confirmed that the flight crew followed all required procedures and landed safely. The airline stated that passengers and cabin crew members are safe.
