Vietnam Launches Investigation into Boeing 787 Incident at Munich Airport
The Ministry of Construction in Vietnam has launched an urgent investigation into the incident involving a Boeing 787-9 aircraft operated by Vietnam Airlines at Munich Airport on August 15.
The plane experienced problems during takeoff, resulting in damage to its tires and landing gear. The crew issued warnings about possible tail strike and abnormal tire pressure before returning to the airport for a technical inspection.
In response to the incident, the Ministry of Construction has instructed the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to collaborate with German authorities in the investigation and to strengthen controls over safety in training and operations. Vietnam Airlines has been ordered to review its crew training protocols and operational procedures.
