Vietnamese Bank SACOMBANK Upgrades Core Banking Platform with Temenos

SACOMBANK, one of Vietnam's leading commercial banks, has successfully upgraded its core banking platform to a hybrid cloud environment. This modernization is part of the bank's digital transformation journey and will enable SACOMBANK to accelerate innovation, deliver new services faster, and provide secure, seamless banking experiences for its millions of customers.

The upgraded platform, provided by Temenos and deployed on Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Power infrastructure, supports SACOMBANK's retail and SME banking operations. It has resulted in significant gains in performance, speed, and efficiency, including a 200% improvement in application performance, three-times faster deployment cycles, and a 50% reduction in server footprint.

The bank also selected Temenos Payments Hub to support cross-border payments, further enhancing its core banking and payments capabilities on a flexible, cloud-native platform. SACOMBANK's Deputy CEO, Luu Danh Duc, commented that the upgrade is an important milestone in the bank's digital transformation journey, enabling it to accelerate innovation and deliver new services faster.
