VIG Partners Bolsters Investment Team Amid Reorganization Efforts
VIG Partners, a domestic private equity fund management company, has announced a reorganization plan to strengthen its investment team and enhance portfolio value. The plan includes recruiting new senior personnel, expanding existing staff roles, and reinforcing middle-class and junior employees.
Two key recruits are Deputy CEO Yoo Shin-hyuk and General Manager Kang Sung-wook. Yoo joins from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) with over 18 years of experience in M&A advice, corporate strategy, and industrial analysis. He will review new investments and manage portfolios.
Kang brings over 40 years of experience as a professional manager, having served as General President of GE Healthcare Asia-Pacific and President of Cisco Systems Asia-Pacific. His role will be to discover overseas investment opportunities and support portfolio companies' expansion and cross-border M&A.
The existing team members, including CEO Shin Chang-hoon and Deputy CEO Yoo, will lead the discovery of new investments and manage existing portfolios. The reorganization aims to create a results-driven management system that leverages the capabilities of the team rather than individual experts.
