VIG Partners Bolsters Investment Team with BCG and GE HealthCare Execs
VIG Partners, a South Korean private equity fund manager, has strengthened its investment organization with several high-profile appointments. The firm announced on April 4th that Yoo Shin-hyuk, former Boston Consulting Group executive, has joined as deputy CEO, while Kang Sung-wook, ex-GE HealthCare Asia-Pacific regional president, will serve as a managing director.
The new hires are part of a broader strategy to expand both the investment team and portfolio operations organization. The initiative centers on recruiting senior talent, promoting internal personnel, and bolstering junior and mid-level staffing.
Deputy CEO Yoo brings 18 years of experience in M&A advisory and corporate strategy from firms like Deutsche Bank and BCG. He will play a key role in sourcing new investments and managing the portfolio at VIG Partners.
Kang, with over 40 years of experience, has led various initiatives at GE HealthCare and Cisco Systems. At VIG Partners, he will focus on identifying overseas investment opportunities and supporting portfolio companies' international expansion.
