Viking Global Bets Big on SpaceX, Ditches CoreWeave and Alphabet in Q2
Viking Global Investors, a Stamford, Connecticut-based hedge fund run by Andreas Halvorsen, has made significant changes to its portfolio in Q2. The firm filed its second-quarter 13F on Friday, revealing new positions, complete exits, and active trims.
The hedge fund initiated four new positions, including 1.2 million Class A shares of Space Exploration Technologies Corp., Elon Musk's SpaceX. It also reported new stakes in Morgan Stanley, Qualcomm Inc., and CVS Health Corp.
Viking dissolved its stake in CoreWeave Inc., the AI cloud infrastructure provider that had been a hot momentum trade earlier in the year. The firm also fully exited its Class A stake in Alphabet Inc., walking away from the search giant altogether rather than simply trimming.
