Village at Gateway Brings Retail and Dining Options to Forney, Texas
Forney, Texas has undergone rapid growth over the past decade, with its population more than doubling to 40,000 residents. The city's need for convenient retail and dining options led to the development of Village at Gateway, a 750,000-sq.-ft. open-air center anchored by Target, Home Depot, H-E-B, and BJ's Wholesale.
The project was developed by Street Level Investments and features top brands such as Five Below, Burlington, Ross Dress for Less, and Bath & Body Works. In 2026, new stores including Dick's Sporting Goods, Evo Entertainment, Luna Grill, America's Best, Livewell, and Handel's Ice Cream will open at the center.
The Village at Gateway is designed to provide connectivity to Texas Health Resources' 50-acre medical campus under construction immediately west of the project. Street Level Investments polled local consumers to determine the tenant mix for the project, with the goal of delivering a destination that meets the community's needs and reflects what residents have been asking for.
