Viral Soda Spill Video Costs Florida Man His Job
A viral video of a massive soda spill at a Coca-Cola warehouse in Seffner, Florida, has led to the unemployment of its creator. Antonio Greene recorded the incident on his phone and uploaded it online, where it garnered over 5.3 million views and 848,500 likes.
The video shows Greene's coworker operating a forklift that was lifting a pallet of Coca-Cola plastic bottles to the top of the storage racks. Greene anticipated the impending disaster and urged his coworker to 'go in,' but before he could, the pallet broke, causing a massive spill. The bottles rained down to the ground, exploding on impact.
Although Greene continued to laugh nervously as he backed away from the scene, his employer did not find the situation amusing. Coca-Cola immediately fired him for violating their policy of recording and uploading footage without permission.
