Virgin Atlantic Cuts Dreamliner Fleet as LOT Grows with Two New Jets
Virgin Atlantic is streamlining its Dreamliner fleet by transferring two Boeing 787-9s to LOT Polish Airlines. This move brings Virgin's 787-9 count down from 17 to 15 jets, as it focuses on new A330neos. The transfer will be completed in 2027.
LOT Polish Airlines' CEO Michał Fijoł confirmed the transaction, which will expand their Dreamliner fleet from eight 787-8s and seven 787-9s to nine 787-9s.
