Visa Acquires BioCatch for $2.4 Billion in Bid to Boost Cybersecurity

Visa has signed an agreement to acquire Israeli firm BioCatch for $2.4 billion cash from shareholders, including funds advised by Permira.

The acquisition will complement Visa's existing fraud, cyber, risk and security products and enhance customer protection against application fraud, scams, and account takeovers.

Visa plans to close the deal by the end of its fiscal year 2027 second quarter, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval.
