Visa and ONDC Team Up to Revolutionize Indian Tourism Discovery
Visa and ONDC have announced their intent to explore collaboration to enhance tourism discovery in India. The collaboration aims to bring together Visa's expertise in trusted digital commerce and intelligent discovery experiences with ONDC's open network infrastructure.
The proposed collaboration seeks to simplify how travellers discover experiences, itineraries, and tourism offerings across the country. Speaking at the Global Fintech Festival 2026, Suresh Sethi said that India has taken a futuristic approach in digitally connecting people through open networks.
He added that ONDC can serve as the digital infrastructure for tourism in the country, bringing together everything related to tourism in one place. The two entities will evaluate opportunities to leverage open network principles and trusted commerce to create richer tourism discovery experiences.
