Visa Brings Apple Pay to Philippine Customers
Visa has announced that its customers in the Philippines can now add their eligible cards to Apple Pay on their iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac.
This move is part of Visa's efforts to accelerate digitalization and expand payment options for Filipinos traveling abroad and visitors coming to the Philippines.
According to a survey, 97% of travelers in the Asia Pacific region bring credit or debit cards on their trips, while only 17% carry foreign currency. Among them, 38% prefer cards due to robust security and fraud protection features.
To use Apple Pay, customers can simply double-click the side button on their device, authenticate, and hold it near a payment terminal for contactless payments.
