Visa Brings Contactless Payments Closer with Africa SDK Rollout
Visa has rolled out an SDK (Software Development Kit) to integrate Visa Pay in several African countries. The move aims to make digital payment experiences more accessible and secure for consumers across the continent. The SDK is available in Zambia, Sudan, Republic of Congo, and Tanzania.
The kit enables banks, mobile money companies, and fintechs to embed Visa Pay into their apps, supporting e-commerce, remittances, virtual cards, and other services. This integration will allow users to make various types of payments more easily.
Visa plans to add Tap to Pay for contactless payments in the future, further enhancing its offerings in Africa. By providing this technology, Visa aims to help issuers meet a wide range of market needs, including secure e-commerce and remittances.
