Visa Buys BioCatch for $2.4 Billion to Boost Fraud Detection
Visa is set to acquire BioCatch, a fraud-detection company, for $2.4 billion in cash. The deal will give Visa advanced tools to spot bank fraud before payment.
BioCatch's software scores digital banking sessions by reading thousands of application, behavioral, device, and network signals in real time, including keystrokes and touch gestures.
The company currently protects 1.8 billion devices and 760 million users, serving more than 350 banking clients across 21 countries, including over 100 of the world's largest banks.
