Visa, Mastercard, Ant Team Up on AI Payment Verification Standards

Visa Inc. (V), Mastercard (MA), and Ant International have joined forces to develop a standard for identifying and verifying AI agents that facilitate purchases on behalf of users.

The companies announced their collaboration on September 10, 2026, with the goal of creating an interoperable Know-Your-Agent framework.
