Visa Standardizes Agent Identity, Partners with World Bank, Joins Circle's Blockchain Network
Visa (V) has made significant moves in the payment industry by introducing a Know-Your-Agent interoperability framework, partnering with the World Bank's International Finance Corporation to support financial inclusion programs, and joining Circle's new Arc mainnet as a validator.
The Know-Your-Agent framework aims to standardize agent identity and onboarding across payment networks. This collaboration positions Visa inside the rulebook for autonomous agents, enabling shared operator traceability, certification, and continuous monitoring.
The partnership with the International Finance Corporation will support financial inclusion programs in emerging markets by sharing risk with lower-rated banks in 14 Latin American and Caribbean countries.
