Visa Stock Rises on Strong Quarter Driven by Value-Added Services Growth
Visa stock has climbed to near its record high of $373.97 after posting strong growth in its latest quarter, driven by a 33% increase in value-added services.
The company's revenue reached $11.63 billion, up 14.4% year over year, and adjusted earnings came in at $3.32 per share, above the consensus of $3.23 per share.
Visa's net margin was 50.78%, while return on equity reached 67.68%, showing why the market still pays a premium multiple for the stock.
The company has also been repurchasing shares, with $20 billion in buyback authority, and paying out dividends of $0.67 per share, or $2.68 annualized.
Visa's network connects consumers, merchants, banks, and governments for card payments, tokenization, fraud controls, and data tools.
