Visa Stock Tests Resistance as Buyers Demand Proof of Strength

Visa's stock price has reached $371.04 on the NYSE, up 1.45% from its previous close of $365.73.

The move has left the stock pressing against the top of its short-term trading band, with buyers still in control but now asking for proof that it can keep going rather than simply bounce back.

The chart analysis is constructive, with Visa above both its 20-day and 50-day moving averages, indicating recent strength that's not isolated to one session.

Momentum indicators are mixed, however, with the RSI at 61.1 still neutral but the Stochastic overbought at 90.5, and a negative MACD histogram warning of weakening short-term pace despite price holding near highs.
