Visa Teams Up with Dunamu on Stablecoin Payments
Visa is expanding its digital-asset payment capabilities through a strategic partnership with Dunamu, operator of South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit. The companies will explore stablecoin payments, cross-border transfers, and AI-powered commerce. Visa's global network will serve as a bridge between digital assets and conventional payment infrastructure.
The agreement covers stablecoin-based payments and money transfers, as well as future payment systems combining artificial intelligence with digital assets. Visa brings an extensive global payment network to the partnership, while Dunamu contributes infrastructure and expertise developed through its digital-asset businesses.
The companies plan to develop potential services gradually, with regulatory requirements, interoperability, stability, and transparency shaping how individual products are introduced. No timetable for launching a commercial product has been announced.
